Acne Treatments

There are organic and natural acne treatments you can use to help clear your skin. Some of which are home remedies for acne you may already have in your kitchen cabinet!

LET’S START WITH THE MOST POPULAR ONE:

Tea Tree Oil  Because of its antiviral, antifungal, antibacterial, and antiseptic properties, the Tea Tree is a great natural resource. This oil has been proven very effective at reducing redness and inflammation caused by acne.

Neem Oil  Great at reducing redness and inflammation, but also reduces scars and moisturizes with rich fatty acids.

Olive and Jojoba Oils  Good ingredients to look for in your natural and organic cleansers. These will not clog pores and will leave your skin appropriately moisturized. Skin will not be as likely to over compensate by producing more oil. (Remember to find a cleanser with no detergents (ex. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) or drying alcohols.

Lemon Juice  This makes a great little spot mask to help clear a pesky pimple.

Fresh Garlic – Taken internally and/or rubbed directly on the lesion can fight against acne.

Ice  Some find relief by applying ice to an area as soon as you feel a pimple emerging.

Honey – Apply a few drops of good honey to acne scars using your fingers. Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse off with warm water then cold water.

Truly Natural and Organic Products – There are some great products out there if you know where to look.
