ALOE HELPS BOOST THE IMMUNE SYSTEM
I think given the stresses of our daily lives, everyone can use a boost to their immune systems. The polysaccharides in Aloe Vera juice stimulate macrophages, which are the white blood cells of your immune system that fight against viruses. Aloe is also an immune enhancer because of its high level of anti-oxidants, which help combat the unstable compounds known as free-radicals, contributing to the aging process. (Free radicals are a bi-product of life itself, it is a naturally occurring process but we can overload ourselves with unnecessary free-radicals by living an unhealthy lifestyle). Aloe is also an antipyretic which means it used to reduce or prevent fever.

Echinacea (coneflower) – Boosts white blood cell production, immune system support, anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties, good for colds, flu and infection. Note: Use no more than two weeks at a time. Do not use if you are allergic to sunflowers or related species.

Lemon – Is known for its antiseptic properties, Essential Science Publishing says that: According to Jean Valnet, M.D. the vaporized essence of lemon can kill meningococcal bacteria in 15 minutes, typhoid bacilli in one hour, Staphylococcus aureus in two hours and Pneumococcus bacteria within three hours. Lemon also improves micro-circulation, promotes white blood cell formation, and improves immune function.

DRINK LEMON WATER!!!

Myrrh – Anti-infectious, antiviral, soothes skin conditions and supports immune system. Also an antispasmodic that helps to reduce spasming due to spasms caused by nerve agents.

Alfalfa: Relieves digestion and is used to aid blood clotting. Contemporary uses included treatment of arthritis, bladder and kidney conditions and bone strength. Enhances the immune system.

Ginseng: This is another contemporary herb that has a history that goes back across cultures for millennia. The roots were used by Native Americans as a food additive, a tea and a poultice to treat fatigue, boost energy, enhance the immune system and help with overall liver and lung function. The leaves and stems also were used, but the root has the most concentration of active ingredients.

Rosemary – The active components in rosemary are antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-carcinogenic in nature. This represents a three-pronged attack against many different diseases and pathogens that could threaten the immune system or damage the integrity of the body. Antioxidant compounds form a secondary line of defense behind the body’s own immune system, and rosemary contains a significant amount of those powerful compoundsincluding rosmarinic acid, caffeic acid, betulic acid, and carnosol.

This old German remedy has been proven to be very helpful in treating atherosclerosis, cold and infections, high cholesterol and fatigue. By the way it is also very good in improving the immunity system and cleansing your liver.

For the preparation of this powerful drink you will need only four ingredients.
  • 4 organic lemons along with the peel
  • One ginger root (3-4 cm) or two tablespoons of grated ginger
  • 4 large garlic heads
  • 2 liters of water

Method of Preparation:
1.     Wash the lemons and cut them into small pieces.
2.     Peel the garlic.
3.     Put the lemons, ginger and garlic in a blender and blend until you get a nice texture.
4.     Put the blend in a saucepan.
5.     Pour the water over and stir until the mixture boils.
6.     Then, turn off the heat and leave the mixture cool down.
7.     Strain through a strainer and pour the liquid into a glass bottle.

Usage:
Every day 2 hours before meal drink one glass on empty stomach. Keep up with this procedure for 3 weeks. After that, pause for one week and then repeat the treatment for another 3 weeks. If you find the taste is too strong add some honey.

After the first 3 weeks of the treatment you will notice how your body has significantly rejuvenated and recovered. This drink is extremely helpful in prevention of calcification in organism which is caused by the kidney stone formation and as well against vascular congestion.

After Reading This You Might Never Eat Commercially Made Ice Cream Again

Monsanto’s dream is to control the world’s food supply, and that includes the ever popular perennial summertime treat, ice cream. How certain are you that your favorite ice cream is actually Monsanto free?   Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d know your ice cream could be made from milk or milk products derived from cows injected with Monsanto’s genetically modified rBGH (recombinant bovine growth hormone), sweetened with GM beet sugar, made with milk or cream from cows fed genetically modified soy and corn mush feed or “enhanced” with a HIDDEN  array of toxic additives.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF ICE CREAM
First let’s dispel some potential confusion: the genetically engineered, bovine growth hormone (rBGH) is also known as Recombinant Bovine Somatotropin (rBST); In other words, two different names that refer to the exact same bovine growth hormone.

It’s been almost 20 years now and approximately 1 in 6 US dairies have been injecting the controversial, synthetic hormone rBGH into their cows every two weeks to boost milk production 10 to 15%, or about one additional gallon per day.

BGH MORPHS INTO MONSANTO’S RBGH
For many years (BGH) or natural bovine growth hormone was used by farmers to increase milk production in dairy cows.  But Monsanto had a better idea.  They created a genetically engineered version of this natural hormone under the brand name: Posilac (rBST aka rBGH) and it’s now routinely injected into more than a quarter of all U.S. dairy cows.

Maybe you’re still wondering, what’s the real harm from having a little genetically modified, bovine hormone in your ice cream anyway?

Dairy from cows injected with rBGH contain:
  • Genetically Engineered Hormones
  • Antibiotics
  • Puss and Blood

Dr. Richard Burroughs, a veterinarian deeply conversant with rBGH stated: “It [rBGH] results in an increase of white blood cells,” he  explains, “which means there’s pus in the milk!” The antibiotic use, he adds, “leaves residues in the milk. It’s all very serious.”

In the book What’s in Your Milk? by Samuel Epstein, MD, a scientist at the University of Illinois School of Public Health, expert on cancer prevention, and outspoken critic of rBGH, nicknamed “crack for cows”, explains:

This [rBGH milk] contains very high levels of a natural growth factor known as IGF-1… . IGF-1 stands for Insulin-like Growth Factor 1. So growth factor 1 is a natural growth factor and is responsible for normal growth but when you drink rBGH milk, you have very, very high levels of this natural growth factor.

When you drink it, the IGF-1 survives digestion and is readily absorbed from your small intestine, into your blood.Increased levels of IGF-1 have been shown to increase risks of breast cancer and we have about 20 publications showing this; risk of colon cancer [shown] by about 10 publications; prostate cancer by about another 10 publications.

And a further concern: increased levels of IGF-1 block natural defense mechanisms against early cancers, [mechanisms] known as ‘apoptosis [cellular suicide].’”

In a Huffington Post article entitled: Is Your Favorite Ice Cream Made with Monsanto’s Artificial Hormones?, John Robbins, son of the founder of the Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Empire states:

“… [I]njecting the genetically engineered hormone into cows increases the levels of a substance called IGF-1 in their milk. Monsanto’s own studies found that the amount of IGF-1 in milk more than doubled when cows were injected with rBGH. Studies by independent researchers show gains as much as six-fold …”

A May 9, 1998 article featured in the medical journal, The Lancet reported: pre-menopausal women with even moderately elevated blood levels of IGF-1 are up to seven times more likely to develop breast cancer than women with lower levels.

Robbins also noted that studies found men (age 60 and over) with high blood levels of IGF-1 to be at an eight times greater risk for prostate cancer compared to men in the same age bracket with low levels of IGF-1.

Correspondingly, premenopausal women with elevated blood levels of IGF-1 had up to a seven times greater risk of breast cancer.

The poor cows injected with Monsanto’s hormone suffer a 25% increase in mastitis (udder infections) and a 50% increase in lameness. Luckily for Monsanto they also sell the antibiotics that they recommend to counteract health problems among rBGH treated cows.

Milk from conventional cows is loaded with antibiotics. If you’re determined to eat healthy, you’ll soon discover that pasteurized milk is not nearly as healthy as raw organic milk from pastured cows. But that’s another article.

The majority of dairy cows in the US are living on corporatized industrial farms, or concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs). They’re fed a steady diet of mostly GMO crops such as corn, soy, alfalfa, cotton seed, and/or sugar beets.  Shockingly, 98% of GM soy and 49% of GM corn is allocated to feeding livestock and poultry.

Truth in advertising, Huh?

Reality check: if you live in the United States the vast majority of conventional milk and dairy products lining those refrigerated shelves in supermarkets across the country are derived from cows that eat GMO feed and could contain Monsanto’s rBGH or rBST.

Once Monsanto conceived and perfected their GE hormone (rBST) they proceeded to carve out a nice, fat market for it and then sold it to Elanco, a division of the Eli Lilly drug company in 2008.

“Of course, Monsanto (and now Elanco) wants us to think the hormone is in every way completely satisfactory and safe. Monsanto’s party line has consistently been that there is “no significant difference” in the milk derived from cows who have been dosed with the hormone compared to those who haven’t.” – John Robbins

Well then, if it’s so safe why is this genetically engineered, bovine growth hormone banned in Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Australia and all 27 nations of the European Union but is still available in the U.S.?

AN INCONVENIENT HISTORICAL TRUTH
Even more revealing, the need to induce cows to produce more milk was never really a genuine problem in the first place! In fact, since the 1950’s America has been seriously awash in milk. Dairy farmers were consistently producing vast quantities of fresh milk, much more than Americans could possibly consume.

Eventually, the U.S. government decided to tackle the milk problem. The government strategy involved a two prong approach: pay farmers to slaughter their dairy cows and pay them more to stop all dairy farming for five years! Sadly, over 1.5 million cows were needlessly killed.

IS YOUR STORE BOUGHT OR RESTAURANT ICE CREAM REALLY MONSANTO FREE?

BACKDOOR MONSANTO ICE CREAM
Have you noticed the marketing blitz afoot with several beloved, ice cream giants flooding the airwaves with press releases boasting that their ice cream is now made exclusively from milk and cream from rBGH free cows? That’s good news -kinda. But what about Backdoor GM ice cream?

MILK FROM COWS FED GM-GRAIN IS “MONSANTO” MILK
“According to the Non-GMO Project, an organization that certifies ingredients as non-GMO, (1) milk from a cow fed GM-grain cannot be certified as non-GMO. GMO Inside, one of the organizations leading efforts to label, also abides by this definition.(2) The USDA’s Organic label also adheres to these standards. (3) The Food Babe used the same criteria in her campaign against (4)“Monsanto Milk” in Starbucks beverages. However, Ben & Jerry’s, an ice cream company and one of the first large organizations to declare that it was going GMO-free and (4) supports labeling, sources its milk from cows fed GM-grain.” – Biology Fortified

GM-BEET SUGAR?
Green America reported that GM sugar beets were introduced into the market back in 2005. By 2009 “95 percent of the US sugar-beet crop was genetically modified, according to the USDA.  Currently around half of the sugar produced in the US comes from sugar beets.

Beware: If a product contains sugar as an ingredient but does not specify “pure cane sugar,” the sugar is probably a mix of actual cane sugar along with GM sugar beets.

For example, in 2015  ice cream giant, Breyers proudly announced it’s no longer using milk or cream from cows treated with the artificial growth hormone rBGH, which by the way is genetically engineered in a lab from E. coli bacteria. What about accepting milk from cows fed GM feed?

Here are the nutritional facts from Breyer’s “homemade” vanilla Ice Cream:
MILK, CREAM, SUGAR, CORN SYRUP, WHEY, EGG YOLKS, CAROB BEAN GUM, MONO AND DIGLYCERIDES, SALT, NATURAL FLAVOR, VANILLA EXTRACT*, ANNATTO (FOR COLOR), GUAR GUM, TARA GUM. Ingredients and Nutrition Facts are current as of 2/11/15. Please see shelf packaging for any changes.

Not a very healthy list of ingredients by any measure, but let’s just focus on probable GE ingredients.

MORE RED FLAGS

Are you starting to wonder if the eggs in the above ingredients list are from unhealthy, confined chickens massively injected with antibiotics and forced to eat a GM diet?  What about that corn syrup? It’s likely from GMO corn.

Let’s take a look at Breyer’s Butter Pecan ice cream ingredients.

MILK, SUGAR, CORN SYRUP, BUTTER PECANS [PECANS, COTTONSEED OIL, BUTTER (CREAM, SALT), SALT], CREAM, CONTAINS 2% OR LESS OF EACH OF THE FOLLOWING: WHEY, CAROB BEAN GUM, MONO AND DIGLYCERIDES, SALT, NATURAL FLAVORS, CARRAGEENAN, TARA GUM, GUAR GUM, CARAMEL COLOR, LACTASE ENZYME, ANNATTO (FOR COLOR), VITAMIN A PALMITATE. Ingredients and Nutrition Facts are current as of 3/1/15. Please see shelf packaging for any changes. Nutrition Facts may vary in high altitude areas.

Like the vanilla ice cream, Breyer’s Butter Pecan is also laden with a stunning array of unhealthy chemicals and questionable additives, but did you notice the cotton seed oil – which is almost guaranteed to be a produced from GMO cotton seeds.

WHAT ABOUT THE PINNACLE OF DECADENT ICE CREAM HAAGEN-DAZS, YOU MAY ASK?

Not to be left out in the cold, Haagen–Dazs has also recently, heavily promoted that it no longer uses rBGH dairy in its ice cream.

Here’s what Haagen–Dazs states on their FAQ’s page:

“rBST is a synthetic hormone given to dairy cows to enhance milk production. We do not source any milk or cream from cows that have been treated with rBST.

“†No significant difference has been shown between milk from rBST treated and non-rBST treated cows. The suppliers of our other ingredients cannot guarantee that the milk they use comes from non-rBST treated cows.” [emphasis added]

The cows they source their milk and cream from most likely eat GMO feed, as do the chickens they get their eggs from.

BEN AND JERRY’S ICE CREAM – ALMOST GM FREE…
Ben & Jerry’s website explains:

But to be clear, the fresh Vermont milk and cream that our family farmers supply to us is not organic. This means that in the US, it is common practice for the cows’ feed to contain GMO ingredients such as corn. Current regulations in most countries with mandatory GMO labeling requirements do not require milk to be labeled as GMO when derived from cows fed GMO feed. This is also consistent with proposed state-level legislation for GMO labeling, specifically dairy from cows fed GMO feed would not be required to be labeled as containing GMO ingredients. This is the current position that Ben & Jerry’s are adopting with regard to animal-derived ingredients.

Under these regulations, this does not make the dairy genetically modified. We think a good analogy is this: if you eat a corn chip containing GMO corn, it doesn’t make you a genetically modified human.

UH OH!

According to a 2014 article in the DailyMail UK: “This week, it was revealed that Unilever, who own Wall’s, Magnum, Carte d’Or, and Ben & Jerry’s have applied to the Food Standards Agency (FSA) for permission to add to a diet range of frozen fruit ices a protein created using GM technology from the blood of an ocean pout, an eel-like creature that lives in the North Atlantic.”

HIDDEN INGREDIENTS COMMONLY FOUND IN STORE BOUGHT ICE CREAM
Did you know ice cream manufacturers are not required by law to list all the additives they put in ice cream sold in stores. Here’s a sampling of some “flavoring” ingredients found in store-bought ice creams:

Diethylglycol— a chemical used instead of egg yolks. It’s also used in antifreeze and paint removers.

Piperonal— it’s used in place of vanilla. It’s used to kill lice.

Aldehydec-17— a cherry flavoring. It’s inflammable and also used in aniline dye (aniline: a colorless, oily, poisonous benzene derivative, used in the manufacture of rubber, dyes, resins, pharmaceuticals, and varnishes), plastic and rubber.

Ethyl Acetate— a pineapple flavor. It’s used as a cleaner for leather and textiles. If you are unlucky enough to inhale Ethyl Acetate vapors, well, it’s been known to cause chronic lung, liver and heart damage. One wonders what ingesting it does to one’s body and systems.

Butyraldehyde— a nut flavoring. It’s one of the ingredients in rubber cement.

Amylacetate— a banana flavoring. It’s also used as an oil paint solvent.

Benzyl Acetate— a strawberry flavor. It’s a nitrate solvent.

Hydrogen Peroxide Uses

Using strait peroxide to clean your kitchen or bathroom with & as glass & chrome cleaner & even a laundry spot pre-treater couldn’t be easier, just put a sprayer top on a 32 oz. bottle of peroxide & you are ready to go. This method works best because peroxide needs to stay out of sunlight, so if you must add peroxide to another spray bottle make sure it is sitting in a dark cupboard when not in use.

Simply add the spray top, spray & wipe as you would with any spray cleaner. It is as simple as that. Peroxide is a natural antiseptic and disinfectant that is awesome for cleaning, deodorizing, & freshening. In fact, it is a safer effective natural substitute to using chemical/Toxic chlorine bleach. & when combined with the amazing cleaning & disinfecting power of vinegar you know it is not only safe for little hands but it works. The disinfecting power of natural products like peroxide, vinegar, baking soda, Borax, colloidal silver & essential oils are not at all like commercial cleaners that not only leave toxic residue behind, but commercial cleaner kill the good and the bad germs & bacteria thus weakening your immune system. So with these natural DIY products you can have a natural safe home, it is a win, win!

How Hydrogen Peroxide Kills Bacteria
Hydrogen peroxide is always in a dark-brown bottle as light decreases its potency. Hydrogen peroxide is created from oxygen and hydrogen molecules. It is the oxygen responsible for the killing of germs. When hydrogen peroxide is applied to a surface, it reacts quickly and then breaks down into water hydrogen.  At the same time, free oxygen radicals are released; these create oxidation, a chemical process in which oxygen combines with another substance to break down or change the function of the molecules. Through oxidation, the bacterium decomposes, rendering it harmless.

Hydrogen peroxide is a mildly acidic disinfectant that has many uses beyond the medicine cabinet. It is an effective household cleaner for the laundry, bathroom, kitchen, and floors. Hydrogen peroxide is safe to use with many fabrics and common household materials like ceramic tile, grout, laminate surfaces and most types of flooring. It also may be safer to use in a home where there are children, immune system compromised adults and pets since it has no harmful fumes or residues. Using peroxide in the garden also benefits plants and the soil.

Cleaning power – Peroxide is great used alone to clean all over the house, toilets, tubs, mirrors, sinks, chrome, stainless steel, counters floors, tiles grout, laundry, stove on & on.

For those times when you need a stronger cleaner like for counters & cutting boards after preparing food, the below system works better than bleach & better than just vinegar or just peroxide.

Super Disinfectant sprays
(2 bottles create one system of disinfecting)
1 spray bottle of straight white vinegar
1 spray bottle of straight 3% peroxide

Here is a simple trick, just add the spray top off your spray bottles, 1 to a 32 oz. bottle of white vinegar & one to a 32 oz. brown bottle of peroxide, if you decide to add the peroxide to a normal spray bottle keep it in the dark when not in use. It doesn’t matter which you use 1st, spray with the vinegar then spray the peroxide, or spray the peroxide then spray the vinegar. You won’t get any lingering taste of vinegar or peroxide, and neither is toxic to you if a small amount remains on the produce.

Great for cleaning up all surfaces (not vinegar on granite or stone). Pairing the two mists killed virtually all Salmonella, Shigella, or E. coli bacteria on heavily contaminated food and surfaces when used in this fashion, making this spray combination more effective at killing these potentially lethal bacteria than chlorine bleach or any commercially available kitchen cleaner. The best results came from using one mist right after the other it is 10 times more effective than using either spray by itself and more effective than mixing the vinegar and peroxide in one sprayer. Simply spray one then the other wipe & rinse if needed, then mist one then the other & allow to air dry.

Peroxide for Hair:
Peroxide can be used in your no poo routine in your shampoo or conditioner combo. Even if you have dark hair, it does not mess with the color unless you leave it in like an hour. It is great for the scalp & it also is very good at killing lice.

How to:
Simply add a cap of peroxide to the water with your baking soda to wash your hair, or you can even use alone or with borax in the water. Do the same way for conditioner.

For cleaning:
Mix enough with baking soda to form a paste, you could add a drop or two of clove &/or peppermint essential oils.

How to: Make it ahead & store in air tight containers or make as needed. This makes a great soft scrub substitute, make the paste as thick or as thin as you want it.

Laundry: Peroxide is great in laundry as a spot remover, a pre-treater, a bleach alternative, whitener, brightener laundry booster & a fabric softener. For more info on using peroxide in laundry go here.

Pet accidents: A paste made with peroxide, baking soda & eucalyptus essential oil can get out set in urine & poop smells & stains, applying peroxide then vinegar to accidents can stop strong smells.

Room deodorizing sanitizing spray: 1 part pure water & 1 part peroxide, add to spray bottle a mist in rooms, options to add essential oils of choice.

Carpet stain remover, & flea killer:  Make a thick crumble like paste of peroxide & baking soda work into carpet & furniture with broom, allow to dry & vacuum up. (More info & ideas here & here

Houseplants, Roses, Garden: I add 2 to 4 caps of 3% peroxide to my watering can I use for my houseplants, outside potted plants & rose bushes (watering can is almost a gallon of water). Please use food grade peroxide if it is going on a plant that you will be eating its fruitage. Just water as normal, or add to a spray bottle & spray plants as an insecticide or fungicide.

Safe peroxide instead of bleach to purify water in a disaster:
Using Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) to purify water instead of Toxic Bleach. Better to use food grade peroxide to do this if for daily use because of the health benefits, but in a pinch regular peroxide will work just fine & is still safer than bleach.

Add 1/8 a cup of 3% peroxide to one gallon of water stir well. Let sit overnight for mild contaminates like tap water, let sit 24 hours is water is a danger, then drink as normal, the water can be stored up to 6 months is in sealed jars.
