Strep Throat
¼ c. honey
16 cloves garlic, minced
1 t. cayenne, 90 IU's
Mix together and take 1 t. every hour if adult and ½ t. every hour if 12 and under.

Congestion for a Baby
Place 2 drops of peppermint oil and 2 drops of eucalyptus oil in ⅓ - ½ c. olive oil and rub on chest, back, and bottom of feet.
Place the baby in a car seat, put him in the bathroom, and close the door. Block the crack under the door with a towel rolled up. Plug the tub and turn on pure hot water. Add 2 drops of peppermint oil and 2 drops of eucalyptus oil in the bath tub and then close the shower curtain and turn on the shower. Let the baby breathe in the steam for 15 minutes.
Teething
Make a charcoal paste, put clove oil in it, and rub it on the baby's gums.
Rash
Run a warm bath water and put in 2 cups charcoal powder -- get in and soak. If the rash is just on the neck or arm (local area), place the charcoal paste on it and then wrap it with a paper towel, and then plastic wrap and leave it on.
Asthma
1 dropper lobelia tincture
2 dropper's mullein
Put in a cup with 1 ½ inches of warm water and drink.
½ c. olive oil
2 drops eucalyptus oil
2 drops peppermint oil
Mix together and rub on the chest, back, and bottom of feet.
Heartburn
2-3 c. water
2 T. charcoal, heaping
Mix and drink as needed.
Cough
½ c. honey
4 drops eucalyptus oil
Mix together and take as follows:
Adult 1 T.
Child (12 and under) - 1 t. to start and can go up to 1 T.
Heavy Bleeding During Menstruation
1 t. cayenne in warm water and drink every 2 hours.
Lower Back Pain
If you have back pain, you need magnesium!!!
Drink 10 oz. warm water upon rising with fresh lemon
Divide the rest of the water you drink by how many hours you are up.
Do fomentations as follows:
3 minutes very hot
1 minute ice cold
Boil water and drop a washcloth in there. Remove with tongs and squeeze out extra water as best you can, you may want to wear gloves. Then wrap the hot washcloth in a towel and then put another towel over it and place it on the back where the pain is. After 3 minutes take off and put ice cold washcloth in a towel and place another towel over it and leave on for 1 minute.
Also, drink the following:
1 handful fresh parsley
1 handful fresh cilantro
¼ c. water
Blend the above together and strain. Drink daily in the morning.
Honey
Store-bought honey has the pollen removed and so you want to get it locally, or from a farmers market or Trader Joe's.
Do not eat it raw as the bacteria needs to be pasteurized.
Coarse Vegetables
Do NOT eat the following vegetables raw:
Carrots
Brussels sprouts
Kale
Collard greens
Mustard Greens
Turnip Greens
Beets
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Potatoes, white or sweet
They will leech the minerals from the body when eaten raw, but when you cook them enzymes are released that are good for you.
People who eat raw vegetables like this usually end up with stomach problems and need probiotics!!!

The effect of a concentrated and stimulating diet, also of foods deficient in the elements of nutrition, should be made plain. Tea and coffee, fine-flour bread, pickles, coarse vegetables, candies, condiments, and pastries fail of supplying proper nutriment. Many a student has broken down as the result of using such foods. Many a puny child, incapable of vigorous effort of mind or body, is the victim of an impoverished diet. Grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables, in proper combination, contain all the elements of nutrition; and when properly prepared, they constitute the diet that best promotes both physical and mental strength.
1T 680 - During the last seven months we have been at home but about four weeks. In our travels we have sat at many different tables, from Iowa to Maine .
